kuudere

A person who hides a warm and gentle side beneath an cold, aloof, blunt, or cynical exterior. Alternately a person who genuinely is cold except towards one or a few people.

Differs from a tsundere in that the tsundere tends to prefer a more hot-tempered and hostile mask.

Differs more subtly from the dandere in that the latter has is more emotionless than expressively cold, though there's often a lot of overlap in their aloof and anti-social natures.

Comes from "cool" + "dere."
