king kong (series)

A franchise with various films, TV shows, cartoons, comics, and video games featuring King Kong, a classic movie monster who resembles a gigantic ape. The character first appeared in the 1933 film King Kong, which received universal acclaim upon its initial release and re-releases. The film was later remade in 1976 and 2005.

In 2017, a new film "Kong: Skull Island" was released as part of the Monster Verse. This version of Kong would later appear in the 2020 film crossover Godzilla vs. Kong.
