kimura kaere

A major character from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Kaere is a half-foreign (of unknown nationality) transfer student who recently moved back to Japan. She also suffers from dissociative identity disorder - on one hand, she is "Kaede", a yamato nadeshiko; on the other hand, she is "Kaere", a stereotypically obnoxious foreigner who threatens to sue for trivial reasons. Her personality change can be triggered by the word "帰れ" - "kaere" ("go back") - which also lends itself to her given (latter) name. Her whole name is also a reference to singer Kimura Kaela. A running gag is that she is the class's designated "pantyshot girl".
