It is behind the creation and development of KDE Plasma, its flagship desktop environment.
Krita (Software), a free and open source digital painting application, is also developed by KDE.
KDE's mascot is Konqi, a cartoonish green dragon (re)designed by Tyson Tan. The female counterpart is Katie (KDE).
