Jungle Taitei (ジャングル大帝 Janguru Taitei), also known in the west as Jungle Emperor Leo or Kimba, The White Lion is a classic and very popular Japanese shōnen manga series created by Tezuka Osamu which was serialized in the Manga Shōnen magazine from November 1950 to April 1954.
An anime based on the manga was created by Mushi Production and was broadcast on Fuji Television from 1965 to 1967. It is notable because it actually was the first color anime television series ever created.
The original series was produced by Tezuka Productions and has been broadcast in many countries over the years, enjoying a huge popularity worldwide up to this day.
