jumpscare

A type of horror cliché involving having something (typically unsettling imagery) to suddenly appear in front of the viewer for surprise and shock value, often accompanied by a loud sound.

This tag is for posts which depicts either a reference to well-known jumpscares, a character doing or being victim to one, or posts that incorporate an actual jumpscare in it. If it is in the latter case, apply jumpscare warning accordingly.
