Jeanne Francaix is a blonde haired member of the ATAC (Alpha Tactics Armored Corps) 15th squadron, a mechanized infantry unit used in the defense of the human colony at planet Glorie.

Her mecha of choice is the ATAC Spartas.

She can be a very jovial, funny, cheerful and childish character during peacetime, but also a serious capable leader and an intrepid, brave warrior during combat.

In the original series her name and character were inspired by those of legendary French heroine Joan of Arc.

In the adapted, English-language ROBOTECH anime for North American audiences, this character was renamed Dana Sterling.
