During the Continental War, its military forces were nearly exterminated by the Erusians. Pushed back to a small island country called North Point, I.S.A.F. forces hunkered down to attempt to endure one final assault. This is where the player (as Mobius 1) comes in, and the events of the game begin. The military force ceased operations and disbanded after Mobius 1 deployed for Operation Katina; a follow up campaign that took place one year after the end of the The Usean Continental War, eliminating a remnant Eruseain faction called "Free Erusea". Which is found in the ace_combat_5 arcade mode.
