inglourious basterds

A 2009 alternate history war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, and Michael Fassbender among others. It follows the story of a Jewish U.S Army squad known as "The Basterds" and a Jewish French cinema owner’s overlapping plans to assassinate the Nazi high command.

It was Tarantino's sixth main film and generally received positive reviews, many of them praising Christoph Waltz's performance as the main villain, SS Colonel Hans Landa. It was also Christoph Waltz's debut as a mainstream Hollywood actor.
