Real life Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse, romanized name rendered as "Hell Shake". Sired by Hokko Tarumae and foaled by Pisa no Meissen.

The horse was named after the Poptepipic character Hellshake Yano. When Hellshake's owner, the Yamaguchi Stable, put out a recruitment notice for a jockey, they specifically asked for one named Yano, resulting in the hire of Yano Takayuki. As such, most art featuring Hellshake (and Yano) skews towards referencing Poptepipic.
