A series of grand strategy games set during World War II developed by Paradox Interactive. The games allow users to alter the course of the war via various means, from Germany winning the war to Japan joining the Allies.
The fourth entry in the series, Hearts of Iron IV, especially has been successful, due to its greater accessibility compared to its predecessor, and greater ease of modding, resulting in feature-rich mods which may even completely transform the scenario.
