One of the main protagonists of Steel Ball Run, alongside Johnny Joestar. A competitor in the Steel Ball Run race, he possesses control over a mysterious ability known as the Spin. Bearing similarities to the Hamon martial art from JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Parts 1 and 2, it allows Gyro to imbue a powerful rotational force on the pair of steel balls he uses as weapons.

Distinctive traits include his long hair, a wide-brimmed hat with long slits in it, golden teeth reading "GO!GO! ZEPPELI", and a beard made from square patches of hair.
