A certain facial expression that Kasodani Kyouko makes in Nekomura Otako's comic at Danbooru post #907370, uploaded to pixiv on April 30th, 2011. Usually pictures make the same facial expressions in the comic, but also may be different.
The face edits originated in 2011 on Futaba Channel and spread to 4chan in late 2012 - early 2013 where it is commonly referred to "Ohayo" and mainly featured Touhou characters. Its popularity spiked on Pixiv in 2014 and the pictures since then have spread beyond Touhou.
In 2016, 4chan used a Inubashiri Momiji version as a mascot for Donald Trump’s campaign. It used the phrase “Awoo”, a play on Trump’s quote “This is a movement” and that it sounds like a wolf’s howl (since Momiji’s a wolf girl).
