Gundam Rock is a cover album by hard rock musician Andrew WK released on September 9, 2009 only in Japan. The album consists of covered music from the original soundtrack of Mobile Suit Gundam (the first Gundam series), but with English translated lyrics and vocals. It was released to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam franchise that started in 1979.
The front cover artwork features an original illustration by respected Gundam and Capcom artist, Yasuda Akira (also known as "Akiman"). The image depicts Andrew W.K. floating in space next to the RX-78-2 Gundam in similar fashion to Amuro Ray in one of the official posters of the Char's Counterattack movie.
