The RGM-79SP GM Sniper II is the ultimate GM mobile suit variant of the One Year War in Gundam 0080. It had augmented sensors, reinforced Luna Titanium armor in select places, greatly improved thrust and mobility precision, and an incredibly varied array of weapons including machine guns, beam rifles, beam guns, bazookas, and a powerful bullet firing sniper rifle which only the GM Sniper II was capable of accurately using.
It was one of the few Federation units that could take the fight to Zeon's mighty Gelgoog and even challenge the monstrous RX-78-2 Gundam in terms of raw unit performance, if used properly.
