ganguro
An alternative fashion and a broad substyle of gyaru consisting of deeply tanned skin, combined with hair dyed in shades of orange to blonde, or a silver gray known as "high bleached". The concept of this type of fashion is to make one look as "foreign" and divergent from Japanese beauty standards as possible.
It evolved alongside manba gyaru, which features all the same elements, but with a focus on contrasting their dark tans with extremely bright clothes and makeup.
Extreme examples are black ink used as eyeliner and white concealer is used as lipstick and heavy eyeshadow.
