foreman spike
A character from Wrecking Crew. Described as a "mean old man" (意地悪おじさん) in the original Japanese manual and as a "Foreman" in the original English manual. He attempts to impede the progress of Mario or Luigi by destroying any walls, ladders, or pillars they are near, forcing them to fall. Functionally he performs the same role as Luigi's CPU did in Vs. Wrecking Crew.
While most of his appearances have very different looks from each other, his most consistent traits are that he wears sunglasses and has a beard, though in Wrecking Crew '98 he is clean shaven with a visible cleft chin. In Mobile Golf he was given a more rotund body similar to that of Wario.
Was originally known as Blackey/Blacky (ブラッキー), until his appearance in the Super Mario Bros. Movie led to him adopting his international name Spike (スパイク) in Japan.
