Ethan, known as Hibiki (ヒビキ) in Japan, is the male player character in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

A reliable veteran Pokémon Trainer from Johto, this energetic nature lover can often be found roaming the mountains (official bio).

He has grey eyes and short black hair. In his HGSS outfit, he wears a backwards-cap, a black shirt under a long-sleeve jacket with a zip tab, a Pokégear, black capri pants, red sneakers, and carries a grey backpack.

His Pokemon Adventures counterpart is Gold who has gold eyes and often carries a billiard cue stick.
