duffel coat
A winter coat held shut with toggle-and-loop fasteners. The toggles are cone-like pegs that fit through large loops to hold the coat shut. This design is made to be easy to open and close while wearing gloves in winter.
Duffel coats were originally made from duffel, a thick woolen fabric also used to make duffel bags. The name comes from Duffel, a town in Belgium where the fabric originated.
