Dora the Explorer is an American children's animated television show that premiered on Nickelodeon from August 14, 2000 to August 9, 2019.

The series follows Dora Marquez, a young Latina girl who enjoys going on adventures and quests related to activities she wishes to be a part of or places she wants to go to. She's accompanied by her monkey friend, Boots, her talking purple backpack, and talking map.
