A 2D platforming game developed by Rare Ltd, released on the Super Nintendo in 1994. It stars Donkey Kong and his buddy Diddy Kong in their quest to trek the entirety of Donkey Kong Island in order to recover their stolen bananas from an antagonistic crocodilian race known as the Kremlings.

This title rebooted the Donkey Kong franchise, changing Donkey Kong from a villain to a hero, giving him a new design, an entirely new setting, and a new cast of supporting characters and enemies.
