Doctor Yumi Gennosuke is a very intelligent and experienced Japanese scientist heading the Photon Power Laboratory after the retirement of Dr. Kabuto Juuzou.

Professor Yumi once worked under Doctor Kabuto and was inspired by his designs to create his own robot, Aphrodite A. Later Prof. Yumi and other scientists created the robot Diana A.

Doctor Yumi is the father of Yumi Sayaka.
