darunia
A supporting character in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The patriarch of the Goron tribe, Darunia is a strong, bighearted man with a love of music. Once the "Sworn Brother" of the King of Hyrule, he severed ties with him after he allied with Ganondorf, who attacked his tribe and threatened their livelihood. After Link aides him, Darunia appoints him as his new Sworn Brother and rewards him with the Goron's Ruby.
Seven years later, Link discovers that Darunia is in fact the new Sage of Fire, and that he named his son after the boy who saved his tribe.
Darunia returns as a playable character in the spin-off title Hyrule Warriors, where he fights using a giant hammer and fire.
