daikuu maryuu gaiking

The first Gaiking mecha anime series.

A 1976-1977 super robot series produced by Toei Animation, featuring Gaiking as the titular mecha. The series was created by Nagai Gou, but he was uncredited in the original release, which led to a lengthy legal battle and falling out between Nagai and Toei.

26 episodes were dubbed and aired in English as part of the Force Five series in 1980. The full series was later licensed in English by Discotek Media, who released it under the title Dino Mech Gaiking.
