Shortly after becoming Regent of Solrey due to Queen Yuria's disappearance and subsequent reawakening as the harbinger of the apocalypse Apollyon, she wore a prototype version of the Crown of the Sun, a powerful magitech device capable of maintaining Solrey's healthy and bountiful lands in exchange for the wearer's mana. However, as Catherine is a normal Humanlike-type compared to Yuria's more powerful Angel-type, the crown started to consume her very soul, causing a mysterious dark entity to encroach upon her heart and start to corrupt her. Luckily, she was saved because of Rose fusing her own ANIMA into the crown to stabilize her existence. This led to the creation of Eden's first Chaotic-type Soul, giving Catherine the power over sacred flames in tandem with her power to protect others with her shielding magic. However, this also led to Rose's soul becoming trapped within the crown itself, leaving her physical body in a vegetative state. Now, Catherine must find a way to survive the encroaching apocalypse if she wants to find a way to bring Rose back to the material world...
