Genre of guro-adjacent art that depicts violence and gore in brightly colored, dream-like, sugary scenes. Various sweets are often used as replacements for organs, and blood is often an unnatural color (either bright or pastel), and may sparkle. Despite the name, it is not limited to only involving candy, as fruit and cake are also often used, such as having a character being cut open to reveal one of the two inside.
When not directly involving food, the genre stays very detached from any sense of realism - blood will be thick, shiny and gooey, and often shown dripping between perfectly neat segmented slices of flesh. Realistic guro with discolored blood would not qualify for this tag, and a lot of this tag would not qualify for guro due to its unrealistic nature.
