candy candy (series)
A 70s shoujo series starring a young girl named Candice "Candy" White Ardlay, who is a blonde American girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long and curly hair, worn in twintails with bows.
Story by Mizuki Kyoko, and artwork by Igarashi Yumiko.
Outside of Japan the series anime adaptation was quite popular in Latin America, specially in Mexico, Chile and Argentina during 1978 and the early 80s. The Spanish dub of Candy by Argentine voice actress Cecilia 'Pelusa' Gispert became extremely popular in the region during that era.
