buzzy beetle

An enemy from the Mario series.

They are turtle-like enemies with a powerful shell that resists fire. Some Buzzy Beetles are capable of walking along walls or ceilings, and can drop from ceilings to ambush targets. Buzzy Beetles may have a spike on their shells - these are known as Spike Tops. Other Buzzy Beetles may have white wings granting them the ability to fly (making them Para-Beetles).

Buzzy Beetles are quadripeds. Their legs and underside are yellow, and they typically have bright red or yellow eyes. Their shells are a solid color (typically blue or black, though Spike Tops may have a red shell instead) outside an alternate color on the shell's rim (typically white).
