behelit
An object from Berserk. A stone with the shape and size of an egg, with facial features that can:
- Be randomly arranged, as in Danbooru post #348718.
- Form a grotesque blood-crying face, as in Danbooru post #455148.
The Behelit acts as a key to the realm of the God Hand. Through the working of Causality, it finds its way to the hand of a person who eventually reaches his or her lowest point of despair, upon which the Behelit activates by forming the grotesque blood-crying face above and screaming. This summons the God Hand for a special ceremony that usually ends with the bearer sacrificing someone dear to them in order to become an Apostle.
Most Behelits are blue, green or yellow. But once every 216 years, a special crimson Behelit makes its way to a chosen bearer, a charismatic figure and a leader of men who is destined to become the next member of the God Hand during the Eclipse.
