beastars

Beastars (stylized as BEASTARS) is a manga and anime series written by Itagaki Paru, daughter of Itagaki Keisuke of Grappler Baki fame. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2016 to 2020. An anime adaptation was released in 2019.

Set in a civilized modern world of anthropomorpic animals where cultural divides exists among the carnivores and herbivores, and where eating meat (which always come from other anthropomorphic animal) is considered illegal. the series follows Legoshi, an anthropomorpic grey wolf college student who is caught between a wave of distrust after the killing and devoring of one of the herbivore student in his college.
