A fictional robot space station from the Battlestar Galactica science fiction TV series.

The Cylon Basestar is a massive, heavily armed and armored space station from where the Raiders and other Cylon spacecraft depart during their attacks against their human enemies.

They are usually deployed in groups of three, and also serve as command posts and resupply stations for the Cylon armies.

Hundreds of Cylon Raiders can be stored in the Cylon Basestar's many hangar bays.

The Basestars are armed with many laser cannons and missile launchers, and can also launch nuclear strikes against enemy human capital spacecraft or even planets.
