The Arrancar are a type of supernatural entity from Bleach. They are originated from Hollows who have further evolved and achieved a more compact, humanoid form (in contrast with a large and monstrous form of their previous body). And partially regained their consciousness as a result.

They are distinguished by an accessory made of bone unique to each and a hole located somewhere on their bodies, which signify their "hollowed-out" soul. The Espada, the ten strongest Arrancar, also bear a numerical tattoo based on rank.
