Antoni Gaudí (alternatively Antonio Gaudí) was a renowned Spanish architect born in Catalonia. The maximum exponent in Spanish Modernist architecture, he is mostly remembered for his greatest work ― the Sagrada Familia, which was designated as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 2005. Others of his architectural designs also received this prestigious award.
