2024 niconico cyberattack

On June 8th, 2024, NicoNico experienced a cyber attack that caused the site to go down, leaving only a blog message from the management team for anyone attempting to use the site.
Users on social media made art to support the team as they worked to bring NicoNico back online with the hashtag #がんばれニコニコ運営 (Do your best, NicoNico management).
On June 14th, NicoNico management gave an update that it would take over a month for services to be restored.
At the end of July, NicoNico management announced that they would be reviving services on August 5th.
