The Summer Olympic Games of 2020, held in the city of Tokyo, Japan. Initial tentative dates were 24 July through 9 August 2020.
On 24 March 2020, the games were postponed until 2021 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. They took place instead from 23 July to 8 August, 2021, although the "Tokyo 2020" nomenclature was still retained.
