    立膝

In Japanese, tate-hiza (立膝), meaning "standing knee," is a way to sit on the floor: with one knee up.
It is a blend of sitting crossed-legged, with the leg in proximity of touching the other thigh; and the other leg kneeling up, where the person either puts the hands_on_own_knees, or can lean back and use either one or both of their arms for arm_support.

    Example being the tarnished one.
