When a small amount of midriff is visible, or the midriff is unintentionally exposed by clothing that would normally cover it. Usually less midriff is exposed than in the main midriff tag (e.g. Danbooru post #41973). T-shirts and unbuttoned shirts are prone to expose a bit of stomach.
