A display case is a cabinet with one or often more transparent tempered glass (or plastic, normally acrylic for strength) surfaces, used to display objects for viewing, such as food in a bakery, cafe or restaurant, or artifacts in a museum.

Not to be confused with other types of container used for display such as bell jar and picture frame (framed insect).
