One of the many Toads in the Mario franchise.

First appearing in Super Mario Galaxy, Captain Toad is a Red Toad who leads the adventurous Toad Brigade, who seeks to help out his kingdom whenever available. A bit of a coward.

Later got his own spinoff game, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Because of his heavy backpack, he is unable to jump.

Do not confuse him for the Toad typically used as Mario and co.'s companion.
