A bird in the crow family notable for its very long tail (which makes up more than half its body length) and beautiful curved crest. Blue with black face and neck markings, white belly, often white or blue cheeks.
Native to northwestern Mexico, this bird is recently established in the wild in San Diego County with individuals likely escaped from the Tijuana bird trade.
