Once Firefly is used to edit the image, remove an object, generative fill, etc, the metadata is saved in the image metadata by default, and can be searched in exif with exif:"CBOR:Title=Generated image". Note that this does necessarily mean the image is AI-Generated or AI-Assisted, the use of ai-assisted tag depends on how heavily assisted image is and the tag should be applied on a case by case basis.
