A long, thin flap or ribbon, usually made of fabric or leather. Narrow straps are used as part of clothing and luggage, sleeping bags and other bedding. See, for example, spaghetti straps, shoulder straps, etc. Straps differ from belts primarily in that straps are usually integrated with items of clothing, unlike belts. Both can be used in combination with a buckle.
