You know, I actually own a copy of Kiguchi's picture collection myself... lol! I saw it in a late-night program and I thought the visuals were nice, so I bought it.
Then, when the editor told me "Why don't we do a Birdy gravure shot?", and we started thinking about who should wear that costume, he said "Kiguchi Aya-chan sure would be nice...". "I think so too!", lol.
She has a nice body, and she looks good in a standing pose. The costume also came out pretty cool-looking, so, as the original author, I'm very satisfied with this photoshoot!
by Masami YuukiThis costume is a one-in-the world unique piece, custom made by measuring Aya's every nook and cranny. In my own way, I got completely into Birdy's role! Everyone in the staff was telling me "That's exactly like Birdy!", so it was a pretty good day... I hope all the Birdy fans who see these photos will feel the same way. I don't get to have this sort of experience very often, so I was really happy!!
